Cask is hiring a dynamic, hospitality-driven team member for a hybrid position that combines bartending shifts at our Tap Room with retail sales shifts at our boutique bottle shop, both located on College Avenue in Berkeley. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in guest-facing environments, and is excited about craft spirits, wine, beer, and the people who love them.

The Cask Tap Room is a neighborhood craft beverage outpost nestled between Rockridge and Elmwood. We serve a rotating selection of curated pours inspired by the specialty bottles available in our retail shop, along with craft wines and beers. Our focus is on guest experience and education. Bartenders help customers discover new favorites and connect what’s in their glass to what’s on the shelf—often encouraging a bottle to take home.

Cask is a boutique retail store specializing in small-production and hard-to-find spirits, wines, beers, and bar tools. Our retail staff provides welcoming, knowledgeable sales support to both enthusiasts and industry professionals.

We’re seeking someone with bar or restaurant experience who is also excited by specialty retail.

• Engage guests with product knowledge and personalized recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar environment

  Deliver engaging sales support for spirits, wine, and beer
• Assist with stockroom operations and store upkeep
• Resolve customer inquiries with warmth and professionalism

• Previous hospitality experience, ideally in both bar and retail environments
• Strong interest and baseline knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, or beer
• Outgoing, adaptable, and confident in guest interactions
• Comfortable using point-of-sale and other basic IT systems
• Enthusiastic about being part of a team and growing your knowledge

• Hourly compensation starts at $20/hr for retail shop shifts and $19.18/hr plus tips for Tap Room shifts
• Part-time or full-time hours available; exact schedule TBD
