Cupcakin’ Bake Shop is an Artisan style bake shop in Berkeley, CA with a focus on making the absolute best cupcakes and cakes from scratch using fresh, high-quality, local, and sustainable ingredients. We are committed to baking fresh daily with special care and attention to the quality, taste, and presentation of our baked goods. We value hard work, honesty, and the ability to work independently or together as a team.

We have fun with the process and we are looking for a team member who will grow with our company. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded pastry cook who can bake quality cupcakes and cakes as well as decorate. Be passionate and creative about the world of pastry and contribute as we expand our product line.

• Consistently finish cupcakes and cakes according to standards/specifications.
• Bake quality cupcakes and cakes and decorate; contribute as a pastry cook with ability to decorate.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Work early mornings and weekends; be punctual and reliable.
• Work independently or as part of a team; contribute to expansion of product line.

• Self-starters who can work well independently or as a team; passion for pastry; prior pastry experience in a professional kitchen is a MUST.
• Familiar with cake baking and decorating with buttercream.
• Current Serv Safe certification upon hire.
• Available to work weekday and weekend shifts (including some holidays).
• Be able to lift 50 lb heavy items; be organized, clean, and honest.
• One year of previous culinary experience pastry/baking is strongly preferred; ability to work in cross-functional roles as needed; reliable transportation.

• Serv Safe Manager/Food Handler Certification.
