Marketing Internships

At Berkeley Humane, every story we tell and every image we share can help save a life. As a Marketing Intern, you’ll use your creativity and communication skills to promote our mission of compassion, love, and second chances for animals in need.

This internship is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in marketing, social media, graphic design, and events, all while supporting a cause rooted in kindness and community. • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support organizational goals and campaigns
• Assist with social media strategy and content creation that inspires compassion and engagement
• Track promotions, collect analytics, and prepare reports
• Support special events with planning, promotion, and day‑of activities
• Edit, proofread, and contribute to newsletters, emails, and publications
• Depending on your skills, assist with graphic design, photography, videography, or other creative projects

• Background in marketing, communications, or graphic/digital design (coursework or equivalent experience required)
• Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new software and platforms quickly
• Passion for animal welfare and comfort working with a diverse population of people and pets
• Commitment of at least 10 hours/week, Monday–Friday, for 3+ months
• Are motivated by love, kindness, and making a positive impact
• Thrive in a creative environment where collaboration and new ideas are encouraged
• Balance detail‑oriented work with big‑picture storytelling
• Want to use your marketing skills for good—helping animals and their people find each other

• Don’t get overwhelmed by cute puppies or adoptable kitties too easily.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and push moderately heavy objects
• No allergic conditions aggravated by animals in our care
• Reliable commitment to the internship schedule
