- This is a contract position for 12 months from mid March 2026 - March 2027 and onboarding may begin as early as end of February

- Pacific Standard time zone encouraged, however Central or Eastern timezones allowed.
This position is a highly visible and engaged client-facing position. The Content Strategist/ Translator will work directly with our gaming and entertainment clients in conjunction with a fully-established account and creative project team. We are looking for a multilingual, experienced translator to function as an extension of clients’ communications team. Primary responsibilities will include translating text from Japanese to English and English to Japanese for marketing, PR, internal, and corporate communications messages across all mediums (emails, presentations, videos, documents, website copy, social media posts, etc).
To be successful as a translator you should be able to think quickly and have a firm understanding of the field in which you will be translating. An excellent translator should be able to translate information that is contextually accurate. To be successful as a Content Strategist, you should have a pulse on the gaming and entertainment media landscape. Additional responsibilities as a Content Strategist will include providing strategic and unique content ideas for publication across online or digital platforms.
A passion for video games and the games industry is also a major plus.
Content Strategy Responsibilities
- Work closely with the account, creative, and content strategy teams to provide PR/Communications counsel based on client and agency deliverables
- Build and support in executing communications plans for internal agency marketing and client initiatives
- Support the account and content strategy teams with creative ideation for both global and Japan-specific content, providing feedback and direction for internal or external creatives as needed
- Support in account/project management (client meetings, invoicing, timesheet tracking, detailed agendas/recaps)
- Developing and executing against a content strategy, maintaining content calendars, and publishing content on social channels/Word Press
- Developing and writing copy for social ads, website content, and social media posts when applicable
- Stay on top of relevant social trends, platform updates, and digital insights
- Developing strategic project/creative briefs for social posts, blogs, or website content.
Translator Responsibilities
- Work embedded with our primary client team, providing on-demand translation services across all types of subjects, audiences, and mediums.
- Provide editing, proofreading, quality assurance, and content review across all types of subjects, audiences, and mediums, including across multiple clients, as requested by head of content strategy department and in assistance of cross functional agency teams.
- Work closely with the account and content strategy teams to support additional translation and localization requirements across client and agency deliverables
- Conduct needed administrative, tracking, and account management-related tasks as required by the position and account
- Regularly receive and act on guidance and feedback from client and account leads to continuously improve deliverables
- Prioritizing and managing multiple priority projects efficiently and effectively
- Lead documentation efforts and build style guide, key terminology glossary, and brand standards that can be shared with internal and external partners
