Data Engineer
Role Description
The Data Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining common, cloud-based software and data infrastructure used across the company. This includes everything from our Snowflake data warehouse, to the K8s (EKS) clusters used to run our software, to the streaming platform that processes telemetry data from our product in the field. The Analytics Engineering function sits within the Data Platform team, and is responsible for transforming, enriching, and curating trusted datasets that are used across the organization.
This role will work closely with lab, site software, and field operations teams to generate insights and expedite cycles of learning through data.
- Build, review, and optimize data models/transformations in our data platform using tools like dbt, Apache Spark, or Delta Live Tables
- Work with our partner teams across Form to define and codify key product performance metrics
- Manage how data stores interact with analytical tools including Grafana, Hex, JMP, and Sigma. This may include managing these environments and providing support to users
- Work closely with other Software teams to ensure that data are consistent across sources upstream and data models. This will be in an environment where schema migrations are frequent for existing data sources, and new sources are regularly introduced.
- Help to build a strong data culture at Form
- Act as a collaborative member of a distributed software engineering team
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, data scientist, or other data professional
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience working with dbt and Apache Spark desired
- Experience working with OLAP and time series databases like Snowflake, Databricks DBSQL, Clickhouse, and/or InfluxDB
- Experience using BI and data visualization tools like Sigma, Grafana, Tableau, or Superset
- Solid understanding of git and version control principles
- Working knowledge of electrochemistry and/or electrical systems is highly desired but not required
- Curiosity, creativity, and tenacity when it comes to problem solving

Compensation Range: $111,880 - $160,807
