The City of Berkeley is now accepting applications for the position of Health Services Program Specialist! In this role, you will plan and manage a specialized health program. Program‑planning activities will include development of procedures for operation and evaluation and fiscal and budgetary administration. You will also liaise with program personnel to assure proper integration of program planning and evaluation with program operations.

QualificationsEquivalent to graduation from a college or university with major course work in public health, health or social‑services related field, or health‑related public policy, and two years of experience as a health/social services professional. One year supervisory experience which has included budget and program development is desirable.
Other requirements:
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. For automobile travel, a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.

Exam ProcessThe exam process will include, but may not be limited to:
- Application review for minimum qualifications and required documents
- Review of Supplemental Questionnaire
- Oral Board Exam
Tests may consist of any combination of written, oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that test content and may include, but are not necessarily limited to, typing, math, reading, writing and analytical skills; problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency, or any other job‑related knowledge, skill, ability or qualification. The examination process and dates are subject to change. The City may, without notice, change or eliminate any assessment component as needs dictate.
Applicants passing all examination phases will have their names placed on an employment eligible list that hiring departments will use to conduct final selection interviews.
