12-hour shifts, 3 days one week, 4 days the next, repeating

Sunday to Wednesday, 9am-9pm / Mon-Wed 9am-9pm
Wednesday to Saturday, 7am-7pm / Wed-Fri 7am-7pm
Wednesday to Saturday, 9am-9pm / Wed-Fri 9am-9pm

Position Summary:
The Mobile Crisis Registered Clinician (CATT Clinician) works with an EMT team to respond to crises, evaluate individuals, determine appropriate care, and facilitate necessary interventions. This role involves collaboration with law enforcement, psychiatric professionals, and hospitals to deliver rapid, high-quality mental health care.
The clinician adheres to Roberts’ Seven-Stage Crisis Intervention Model and utilizes evidence-based practices and crisis management techniques. Essential skills include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed care, and community resource linkage. The role significantly contributes to reducing emergency department visits and regional crisis incidents.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct crisis intervention and management
Maintain timely and accurate documentation
Attend clinical meetings and trainings
Assist in billing (Medi-Cal and Medicare)
Track program outcomes and ensure follow-up care
Conduct community outreach to internal and external stakeholders
Perform other clinical duties assigned by the Program Director
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience in crisis management and adherence to Roberts’ Seven-Stage Crisis Intervention Model
Proficiency in rapid screening, assessment, and DSM5 diagnosis
Registration (ASW, AMFT, APCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology
Minimum two years of behavioral health experience in public health or community mental health settings
Basic Life Support certification (training provided)
Willingness to work outdoors and travel within Alameda County
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems
Compliance with legal and ethical mandates (HIPAA, etc.)
Valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
