Position OverviewSalary range: $80,800 (Assistant Professor, 9‑month appointment) to $270,000 (Full Professor, 11‑month appointment). Off‑scale salary and additional compensation may be offered to achieve competitive market conditions.

- Conduct cutting‑edge research in ocular disease, ocular biology, and therapeutics.
- Teach courses in the Doctor of Optometry program and in the Vision Science graduate PhD program.
- Provide service to the department, university, and broader scientific community (e.g., committees, outreach).
- Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within UC Berkeley, UNC sites, and external institutions.
- Engage with diverse patient populations through the school’s clinical facilities.
- OD, MD, DO, Pharm
D, DVM, or equivalent clinical degree from anゾ accredited institution (or equivalent international degree). - PhD or equivalent international degree.
