IT Project Manager

Job Summary

In this role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between Technology and Product leadership. You will manage a team of Program and Project Managers to execute high-priority initiatives, ensuring every project—from simple tasks to complex application developments—is delivered on time, on budget, and on scope. You will orchestrate communication across departments and external partners to drive portfolio success.

Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Job Type: Contract to Perm. Salary: $59.00 - 64.22 per hour.

Work Hours:

8am to 5pm.

Bachelors.

• Process Governance: Enforce project methodologies and delivery standards, ensuring strict adherence to Agile frameworks and implementation processes.
• End-to-End Execution: Drive the project lifecycle by managing schedules, mitigating risks, and overseeing scope change control.
• Financial Stewardship: Manage project budgets, including estimate validation, cost variance tracking, and optimized resource allocation.
• Strategic Reporting: Deliver high-level status updates for mission-critical programs and provide data-driven KPI reports on portfolio performance and financials.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate transparent communication across project teams and clients to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Capacity & Flow: Support backlog health and development flow by managing new project intake, capacity forecasting, and resource variance.
• Tool Management: Maintain data integrity within Azure Dev Ops, specifically overseeing Initiatives, Epics, and time-tracking stories.

• Educational Foundation: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience); PMP and/or CSM certifications highly preferred.
• Proven Expertise: 10+ years of progressive technology portfolio and project management experience, with a focus on large‑scale application development in complex enterprise environments.
• Agile Mastery: Deep proficiency in Agile methodologies and iterative delivery.
• Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering high-stakes projects on time and within budget while maintaining superior client satisfaction.
• Strategic Planning: Expert at identifying interdependencies, synergies, and contingency plans to ensure seamless execution.
• Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Analytical approach to risk mitigation, issue resolution, and navigating escalated challenges with data-driven recommendations.
• Financial Stewardship: Advanced knowledge of budget administration, fiscal policies, and cost‑variance tracking.
• Adaptive Leadership: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments by embracing change and pivoting priorities with organizational savvy.
• Stakeholder Influence: Skilled in navigating formal and informal decision-making channels to drive consensus and effective change.
• Scope & Risk Custodian: Dedicated to rigorous scope management and proactive risk assessment to protect organizational assets and reputation.
