Civil​/Highway Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil/Highway Engineer with 2+ years of experience to work in the expanding Transportation group  role focuses on public sector infrastructure projects across NJ, NY and CT, including bridge, roadway and aviation projects. Key tasks include preparation and/or review of design documents for roadway design, alignments, grading, utilities, conceptual geometric design, pavement markings, traffic barriers, MPT, etc.

• Prepare and/or review design plans, estimates, technical specifications, details, and other project related documents (alignment, grading, MOT, signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, traffic barriers, ITS, etc.).
• Design/Review construction design documents to ensure effective and safe traffic operations.
• Develop conceptual documents and provide design recommendations.
• Lead/attend technical project meetings.
• Coordinate with staff from a range of other disciplines (civil, structural, operations) to resolve design issues.

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-10 years of experience in the civil engineering field
• Knowledge of FHWA MUTCD, and AASHTO
• Experience with Open Roads or Open Roads Concept Station required
• Knowledge of CTDOT, NYSDOT, and/or NJDOT standards preferred
• Technical Writing and Report Documentation
• Uncompromising Integrity
• Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must
• Have a solid time management system and demonstrate excellent organizational skills

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000. The listed salary range represents a good faith estimate for this position and is a general guideline only.
