Pay:
Starting @ $21.00 per hour (Additional Starting Pay for Experience!)

Hours:

7:00AM - 4:30PM (Mon-Thur) and 7:00AM - 11:00AM Friday

Days:
Monday through Friday

Position tests product batches and will make adjustments, as necessary, to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Tests incoming raw materials and maintains Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers.

• Performs standard tests on assigned product line production batches and on some incoming raw materials as needed, ensuring the meeting of Avient and the customer s specifications.
• Acts as a technical resource to production addressing issues related to production batches.
• Recommends to production and may develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications.
• Records test results in SAP. Maintains reference files.
• Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Ensures all gauges and test equipment are verified.
• May participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
• Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• Completes and sends documentation to customers (i.e. COA).
• Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear. Occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities may be required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. Work is inside and the typical noise level fluctuates from moderate to loud. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Completed

Experience:

Manufacturing - Production 1 Year; R&D & Technology - Color Matching 1 Year;
Manufacturing - Quality 1 Year;
Manufacturing - Lab Experience 1 Year;
Cross Functional - Problem Solving Techniques 1 Year

Manufacturing/Maintenance - Fork Lift Operators License Completed
Personal Skills - Manual Dexterity Intermediate
Personal Skills - Quantitative Skills Intermediate
Personal Skills - Reading/Comprehension Intermediate
Personal Skills - Conflict Resolution Skills Intermediate
