The ideal candidate will have experience in machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing setting. Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance leading to increased uptime and reliability, with a focus on safety, proactive maintenance and reduction of downtime. Electrician certification, CESW and/or Journeyman are considered competitive advantages.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and documents maintenance work/concerns/resolutions in Maintain

    X; providing action plans and status reports as needed.
  • Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.
Necessary Skills and Experience
  • Proficient math (including fractions and decimals), strong understanding of PLC logic, basic computer knowledge, remember, reason, analyze, problem solve, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with other technicians and plant personnel.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and repair of electronic control systems, including PLCs and HMI devices.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robotic arms.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
