Software Engineer II

Position Summary... What you'll do...

As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery

of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role

involves writing clean, efficient code, driving full lifecycle development, and integrating

advanced technologies including AI and machine learning components. You will provide

technical guidance, participate in solution design, and ensure quality through testing and

monitoring. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to evolving

technologies, and effective communication with stakeholders to meet business objectives

and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Our team works closely with our US stores and Walmart Health and Wellness business to

better serve customers by empowering team members, pharmacies, and clinics with

technological innovation. From pharmacies and clinics to mobile features, Walmart

Health and Wellness offers an extensive selection that our customers and patients value,

whether they meet with their clinicians online at , through one of our

mobile apps, or in-store.

Develop, implement, and maintain software components, APIs, and user

interfaces with clean, efficient, and reliable code.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and

maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements.

Participate in project discovery and translate technical requirements into detailed

designs and functional logic.

Drive full software development lifecycle activities including continuous

integration, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Integrate AI/ML components and leverage advanced tools to enhance

development efficiency and innovation.

Monitor application performance and ensure adherence to project timelines and

quality standards.

Proficiency in software development using languages such as Python, Java, C++.

Experience with full software development lifecycle including continuous

integration, automated testing, and deployment.

Solid understanding of software architecture, platform design, and cloud

engineering principles.

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable

technical solutions.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems.

Demonstrated skills in collaboration, technical leadership, and effective

communication with cross-functional teams.

Aptitude for problem-solving, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

Preferred:
Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts, tools, and practical

applications.
