Job Description

One of Insight Global’s retail clients is seeking a Python/Go Engineer to join their Members Mark Community (MMC) initiative—a greenfield, high‑visibility member‑engagement platform being built for Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark brand. MMC enables members to submit product ideas, provide structured and unstructured feedback, and participate directly in product creation. This role is a hybrid between backend engineering and data engineering, responsible for building Go‑based services and pipelines while leveraging Python for analytics workflows and ETL processing.

The engineer will work across event‑driven services, data integrations, and cloud‑based analytics platforms to power features such as surveys, idea submission, and member insights. This role collaborates closely with data, platform, and cloud engineering teams to ensure scalable, high‑quality data movement throughout the MMC ecosystem.

Strong experience with Go, specifically for:

• Backend services
• Data pipelines or service‑level data processing

Proficiency with Python for:

• Data processing
• Analytics workflows
• ETL/ELT jobs

Exposure to modern cloud‑based data platforms, including:

• Google Big Query (cloud data warehouse)
• Databricks (Spark‑based analytics / data engineering platform)

Experience working with SQL and data‑intensive workloads

Understanding of cloud‑native, event‑driven architectures Experience with Spark, pandas, or distributed data processing

Experience in high‑scale or data‑heavy microservice environments

Prior work integrating data pipelines with Go services

Familiarity with message queues or streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.)
