Position Summary...

The Senior Specialist, Skilled Facilities Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing complex repairs across multiple trades, and overseeing junior associates while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires managing work orders, inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency and cost control.

The specialist fosters continuous improvement, provides mentorship, and collaborates with stakeholders to meet business needs, ensuring high-quality maintenance that supports Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Our skilled service technicians support the operational needs of a growing campus by managing various equipment and systems, including switch gear, lighting, and Building Management Automated Systems. The team uses data and collaboration to resolve issues and establish preventive maintenance standards. Emphasizing safety, quality, and adherence to guidelines, they continuously improve processes to ensure reliable facility operations and a well‑maintained environment. Their expertise spans electrical diagnostics and equipment repairs, fostering a proactive approach to maintenance that supports the campus’s functionality and sustainability.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities equipment and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair equipment, documenting signs of wear and recommending repairs or replacements.
• Conduct major and minor electrical repairs.
• Oversee and mentor junior associates, providing onsite training and evaluating skill development.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and company policies while maintaining accurate records and budget information.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders to support operational goals.

• Generator maintenance & Transfer switch experience is a Plus.
• Arkansas Electrical Journeyman License.
• Valid Driver License.
• Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, wiring, and generator control systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and three‑phase equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs for accurate troubleshooting.
• Experience managing inventory, ordering parts, and tracking maintenance expenses.
• Demonstrated skills in mentoring and supervising associates to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations and commitment to maintaining regulatory standards.
