About the JobYou are the market’s scorekeeper and its analyst — the one who knows exactly how categories, brands, and channels are performing and can explain why. You’ll work with POS, shipment, syndicated, and retailer-direct datasets to deliver a complete view of market dynamics. Your analysis will reveal growth opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging shifts, forming the foundation for myriad strategic recommendations.
Why This Role MattersSales data is the most immediate reflection of market behavior. Without your analysis, we can’t connect consumer attitudes to real-world purchasing or validate which trends are truly gaining traction.
Responsibilities- Lead analysis of POS, shipment, and syndicated retail data.
- Track and report on category and brand performance metrics.
- Identify and explain emerging market trends.
- Integrate performance data with consumer insights for deeper analysis.
- 5–7+ years in retail/category analytics and category management.
- Expertise with POS and retail data (IRI, NIQ, SPINS, Stackline, retailer direct, etc.).
- Strong Excel and BI tool skills; SQL or Python a plus.
- Ability to translate metrics into strategic recommendations.
- Pet industry experience a plus – ideally from a large brand or retailer.
