Position Summary
The Store Operations Strategy team is dedicated to transforming how our stores operate by leveraging data‑driven insights and industry best practices. We focus on developing and implementing sustainable process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and associate experience—directly supporting Walmart’s mission to save people money so they can live better. In this role, you’ll influence both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do- Oversee and optimize labor standards and store processes using advanced work measurement and statistical analysis.
- Lead process change initiatives impacting facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Utilize workforce management tools to achieve service and productivity goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of analysts.
- Approve engineering studies and support the creation of engineered labor standards.
- Travel domestically up to 35% of the time to local and non‑local stores, including consecutive overnight stays, as required by projects and department focus.
- Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in industrial engineering, work measurement, continuous improvement, or a related area.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering or a related area.
- 1‑3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- MOST Certification or ability to become MOST certified.
- Expertise in work measurement systems, statistical analysis, and workforce management tools.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross‑functional projects.
- Ability to drive sustainable change and deliver cost‑benefit insights in complex environments.
- Experience supporting technical problem resolution and labor allocation processes.
- Preferred:
Experience with change management processes, Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, and Six Sigma Certification.
$90,000.00/yr – $/yr
Additional CompensationIncludes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Certain positions may also include stock options.
