Lovell, Nalley & Nalley is a well-established law firm serving Benton and Saline County for decades. Our practice includes personal injury, insurance defense, real estate transactions, probate, and civil litigation. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized legal assistant to assume a central role in supporting the firm following the retirement of our long-time secretary.
This position is ideal for someone who values stability, professionalism, and being a key operational anchor in a small legal office.
Compensation: $40,000-$55,000 comesurate with experience
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Fridays 8:30 am to 12 pm
- Serve as the primary administrative support for attorneys
- Answer phones, greet clients, and manage front-office communications
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, meetings, and deadlines
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and clients
- Manage physical and electronic filing systems
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and office correspondence
- Draft, format, proofread, and file legal pleadings, correspondence, and routine motions
- Prepare documents for filing in Arkansas state courts (including e-filing where applicable)
- Maintain case files, discovery materials, and tickler/deadline systems
- Assist with probate filings, real estate transactions, and closing documents
- Support attorneys with trial prep, hearings, and client matters as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding scheduling, document requests, and case status (non-legal advice only)
- Coordinate filings and deadlines with Saline County courts and clerks
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant (law firm experience required)
- Strong working knowledge of Arkansas legal procedures and court filings
- Experience supporting probate, real estate, civil litigation, insurance, or personal injury matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Word Perfect, and legal document formatting
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a small office
- Must be able to work in-person in Benton, Arkansas
- Familiarity with Saline County courts and local filing practices
- Long-term law firm experience in a single-office or small-firm setting
- Experience transitioning or maintaining systems after staff turnover
- Paralegal certificate or legal studies coursework (preferred but not required)
- Stable, long-term role in a respected local law firm
