Overview
Senior Analyst, Business Analysis and Insights – Fraud Strategy sits within the Fraud Strategy team, identifying and mitigating fraud across Walmart’s ecommerce platform. You’ll be embedded within a specific business unit, developing deep expertise in its operations and fraud risks. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Tech, and Business—to monitor trends, respond to escalations, and implement targeted fraud prevention strategies.
Responsibilities- Fraud Detection & Response:
Monitor daily transaction volumes and exception reports to identify anomalies and emerging fraud patterns. Investigate and respond to fraud-related escalations from internal teams and external partners. Analyze fraud and abuse trends to develop targeted rules and mitigation strategies. Collaborate with team leads to implement, optimize, and maintain fraud prevention rulesets across platforms. Support queue maintenance and rule tuning to ensure optimal performance. - Business Unit Support & Reporting:
Serve as the fraud strategy point of contact for your assigned business unit (e.g., Pickup, Marketplace, Core, Canada), developing subject matter expertise. Assist in developing and refining fraud rules tailored to your business unit’s trends and needs. Develop and maintain reporting tailored to your business unit, highlighting fraud patterns, escalations, and rule performance. Communicate findings and updates to internal partners, including Ink and Sig teams, to ensure alignment and timely action.

- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.

- You have 2+ years of experience in analytics, risk, or fraud strategy.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in analytics, information technology, or project management.
- Experience in ecommerce fraud or risk analytics.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with fraud detection platforms or rule-based systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
