Staff, Solution Consultant – Walmart Data Ventures

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

Compensation: $90,000.00 per year – $ per year (base pay range)

We are searching for a motivated Staff, Solution Consultant (mid‑senior individual contributor) to join our dynamic team. The Solution Consultant has a clear understanding of the components of Walmart Data Ventures technical products and demonstrates how they work. Your responsibilities will include understanding customer needs, demonstrating products, and applying technical product knowledge to help clients. Success requires excellent rapport with customers, prospects, and internal partners through technical knowledge, presentation skills, and operational excellence.

A top‑notch candidate should be knowledgeable about competing products and have the ability to break down technical terminology for non‑technical clients.

• Lead technical demonstrations of retail insights data solutions.
• Establish the technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products.
• Lead discovery conversations of complex technical information to customers in an understandable way.
• Provide technical expertise to support proposal responses and reports related to technical products.
• Ensure sales targets are consistently met.
• Establish technical sales processes and reporting to facilitate role growth.
• Update records of customer communications and contact information within the CRM tool.
• Be curious about technical solutions and self‑starter across activity and learning beyond industry‑leading onboarding materials provided.

• A bachelor's degree in IT, business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-8 years of technical selling experience.
• Retail data industry experience.
• Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of retail data solutions.
• Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
• Ability to work with internal partners such as sales and product teams.
• Skills in selling products and closing deals.
• Knowledge of modern SaaS UI, API, and data solution technology.
• Experience conducting presentations to internal and external partners.
• Experience executing consistently and leading process improvement projects.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel when needed.
• Ability to be in office five days a week in Bentonville, Arkansas.

• Option 1:
  Bachelor's degree in computer science, management, information systems, mathematics, business, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering, consulting, Dev Ops, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering, consulting, Dev Ops, or related area.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or related area and 2 years’ experience in enterprise design, implementation, or consulting.
• Prior work experience in the technical integrations between SAP, Workday, etc. and third‑party applications.
• Prior work experience using technology packages such as SAP, Workday, Infor, and Coupa based on business requirements.
• Prior work experience writing functional specifications and test scripts.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and commitment to Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.
