Overview

Position Summary... Join Walmart as a Manager, Finance, and play a key role in providing strategic input to the financial planning process. This position involves preparing financial analysis and modeling, recommending future expense targets, and planning and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas. You will communicate with various functional areas to understand significant variations, document and prepare results for presentation, and provide follow-up or answer financial queries.

Additionally, you will manage complex control structures to mitigate financial misstatement risks and enhance the transparency of financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic input to the financial planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling, recommending future expense targets, and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas.
  • Communicate with functional areas to understand significant variations, document and prepare results for presentation, and provide follow-up or answer financial queries.
  • Manage complex control structures to mitigate the risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring at different stages, participating in cross-functional teams to develop new processes, and ensuring proper controls in financial functions.
  • Produce financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks, prepare presentations and supporting materials for recommendations, and participate in business case presentations to senior and executive management.
  • Collaborate with senior management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives, providing feedback regarding financial project risks, supporting the business unit budget process, and providing insight on historical trends and retail trends.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction on applying these in business processes and practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI tools to analyze financial data.
  • Designing Tableau financial tools.
  • Understanding SQL queries to extract data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data
  • Designing a forecast tool using Macros.
  • Gathering requirements for creating a Labor Analytics Tool for improving profitability.
  • Creating expense targets with cross-functional areas.
  • Creating an expense tool to manage MTD expense in Real Time accounting software to improve monthly cost efficiencies.
  • Working with cross departments to set goals to improve department efficiencies, creating reporting to analyze revenues and expenses, and providing detailed reporting to department heads.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
