Job Responsibilities
* Lead small client teams (1-2 staff), small projects, or portions of large projects using expertise in lighting and power design.
* Apply knowledge of NEC and other national standards to solve medium to difficult design challenges.
* Work independently on multiple project types with minimal supervision.
* Understand energy codes and apply them to power and lighting design.
* Perform photometric calculations, lighting design, and fault current analysis.
* Select lighting systems and controls for simple projects.
Job Duties
* Proficient in REVIT.
* Train employees on company standards, drafting techniques, and technical questions related to electrical design.
* Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop construction documents based on client requirements.
* Perform quality control on projects for final review by Engineer of Record.
* Engage in client communication when applicable.
* Assist in establishing project budgets and ensure financial success.
* Edit specifications for small to medium projects.
