Principal UX Product Designer – Walmart Business
About the Team
At Walmart Business we’re working to be the first, best stop for organizations of all sizes to buy the things they need and get them where they need them. We offer the same great strengths of Walmart – everyday low prices and a huge assortment of products – with business tools like organizational management, spend management, integration with external procurement tools and more.
It’s a fun, complex collaboration of consumer and enterprise interfaces. We’re growing and have a huge opportunity in front of us.
We work closely with business, product, and engineering partners to improve our process, execute great work, and make progress quickly. We are looking for a creative, talented Principal UX Product Designer who can coalesce large systems into an intuitive, usable whole, and raise the bar for craft and culture across our Design organization. If you are a hands-on problem solver who can work with multiple stakeholders, turn limitations into opportunities, and lead the team in setting a future vision, then this may be the role for you.
Note:
This opportunity is in Bentonville, Arkansas where we are expanding our design community in our new, state-of-the-art campus.
- Mastery of a wide spectrum of design disciplines.
- Strong craft and a dedication to efficient, high-quality execution.
- Great communicator, adept at translating complex flows into compact presentations.
- A strategic mindset and a systems thinking approach to making the complex, simple.
- A track record of shipping successful products that require working quickly while managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating design sprints, workshops, or research sessions.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You embrace constraints and the unknown; you enjoy discovering and defining the problem space.
- You are authentic and can connect with people, good at communicating, listening, and sharing with kindness, humility, and empathy.
- Designing best-in-class product experiences with a focus on craft.
- Partnering with business partners, UXR, product managers, and engineers to create insightful design solutions.
- Constantly balancing business goals with user needs.
- Rapid prototyping and experimentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.
- Creating scalable experiences in partnership with our Design System team.
- Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners and staying up to date with trends in and out of retail.
