Account Manager – Enterprise Staffing Solutions Position Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for owning, expanding, and protecting strategic enterprise client relationships within a staffing and workforce solutions environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between the staffing firm and large enterprise customers, including their internal stakeholders, PMOs, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

The Account Manager drives revenue growth by securing exclusive hiring requirements, increasing wallet share, and positioning the company as a trusted workforce partner rather than a transactional vendor.

Key Objectives
  • Grow and retain enterprise client accounts
  • Secure exclusive and preferred hiring relationships
  • Expand staffing penetration across departments and hiring managers
  • Align workforce delivery with client PMOs and MSPs
  • Drive long-term, strategic partnerships
Primary Responsibilities Enterprise Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the single point of contact for assigned enterprise accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, department heads, procurement, HR, PMO leaders, and MSP program offices
  • Understand each client’s organizational structure, project roadmap, and workforce strategy
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing market intelligence, workforce planning, and staffing recommendations
Account Growth & Revenue Expansion
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow account penetration across multiple departments, business units, and projects
  • Convert competitive or open requirements into exclusive or preferred-vendor opportunities
  • Increase volume of job orders, number of placements, and billable headcount within each account
  • Strategically upsell additional services such as contract-to-hire, direct hire, project staffing, and workforce solutions
MSP & PMO Engagement
  • Work within enterprise MSP programs to ensure compliance, performance, and preferred vendor positioning
  • Develop strong working relationships with MSP program managers and PMO leaders
  • Navigate VMS systems, SLAs, and performance scorecards to maximize job flow and submission success
  • Influence PMO and MSP stakeholders to route higher-value and exclusive roles to your team
Requirement Ownership & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Lead requirement intake meetings with hiring managers and project leads
  • Clarify scope, technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Position your recruiting team for success by gaining hiring manager commitment, interview availability, and feedback
  • Reduce competition by locking in exclusivity or limited vendor access whenever possible
  • Analyze client hiring trends, upcoming projects, and talent gaps
  • Develop quarterly and annual account growth plans
  • Proactively propose staffing solutions for new initiatives, project ramps, and seasonal demand
  • Help clients forecast labor needs and reduce hiring risk
Recruiting & Delivery Partnership
  • Partner with internal recruiting teams to drive quality, speed, and fulfillment rates
  • Prioritize roles based on account strategy and revenue impact
  • Provide recruiters with detailed hiring manager insight, competitive positioning, and feedback
  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Performance Management & Reporting
  • Track KPIs including fill rates, submission-to-interview ratios, exclusivity, and revenue growth
  • Review MSP scorecards and identify areas for improvement
  • Present account performance and growth plans to leadership
  • Maintain accurate account and opportunity data in CRM systems
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in staffing, account management, or workforce solutions
  • Proven success managing enterprise-level clients
  • Experience working with MSPs, VMS platforms, and PMO-driven hiring environments
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence without authority across complex organizations
  • Understanding of contract staffing, contract-to-hire, and direct hire models
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in IT, engineering, healthcare, or professional staffing
  • Prior experience securing exclusive or preferred-vendor relationships
  • Background working within Fortune 500 or large enterprise environments
