Recreational Therapy Aide/Activity Coordinator Days and Hours Vary. Some weekend schedules will apply.
Responsibilities- Work alongside the Recreational Therapist to plan, organize, and lead the recreation therapy program, as well as direct patient care.
- Establish, initiate and conduct the recreation therapy treatment program including leisure education, aerobics, creative expression, outdoor education, community reintegration and special events for patients.
- Complete appropriate written materials, documents and forms to assist in patient documentation and communication in the department.
- Treat all patients with respect and work as a team with staff and coworkers.

- Education:
High School diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CTRS preferred. - Experience:
History of working in an inpatient acute care setting preferred and experience with conducting appropriate groups to a specific patient population. - Training: CPR, HWC, and verbal de-escalation training necessary and may be provided upon hire at the hospital.
