This employee performs such duties as collection of taxes, responsibility for a cash drawer, including processing payments and balancing collected funds as required. They answer the phone when needed, assisting taxpayers with questions or problems, performs first contact in person with taxpayer. Must have an out-going personality and positive attitude. Must have great customer service skills. Research will be a major component of this job.
This position must work overtime in March and October each year.

Education and ExperienceKnowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, basic computer skills, customer service, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Intermediate:
Word Processing/Typing, 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database, Spreadsheet
Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software).
Working ConditionsNormal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
