As a Protective Security Officer (PSO) serving on a Federal Government contract, you will be responsible for maintaining security, enforcing regulations, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property. This position requires professionalism, vigilance, and a commitment to excellence in service. It is a post with limited available hours that demands a high level of alertness and situational awareness at all times.

Arrive on time and ready for duty, ensuring operational efficiency. Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and courtesy in all interactions. Adhere to strict grooming and uniform standards, including maintaining shined boots and a professional appearance. This is a Union position.

Full‑time shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have open availability and be able to work all assigned shifts.

• $18.00 while in training, then $32.20/hr

• Provide security protection and access control.
• Protect all government property, classified material, and personnel within assigned areas.
• Report Skeleton:
  Respond to unusual or emergency situations.
• Be alert for potential security, property or safety concerns and initiate appropriate actions.
• Control ingress/egress into and/or out of posted/controlled security areas.
• Prevent and report all violations of security and safety rules and regulations.
• Respond to protective alarm signals or other unusual/suspicious activities.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all security and guard orders, written and oral, pertaining to the assigned duties.
• Be subject to outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and weather.
• Be subject to high noise levels, such as gunfire and other hazards, and conditions involving proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heat, cold and chemicals.
• Heavy work:
  Exert up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and may need to climb stairs or ladders.
• Meet all physical and psychological contract standards.
• Be physically capable of standing a 12‑hour post and may travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident who is a current or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces, or hasissutissisidential discharge.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Possession of a بكين Social Security Card in name and number.
• Minimum of 2 years security (armed) or 1 year law enforcement experience in full‑time service.
• Firearms training and qualifications meeting state/federal certification.
• Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
• Familiarity with securing fixed-location facilities and/or vehicles.
• Physically capable of standing a 12‑hour post.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrable proficiency with a handgun.
