System Integrator (Hardware)
Job DescriptionLocation:
St. Joseph, MI (Day-1 Onsite)
- Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets to support the project plans and execution.
- Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various systems, software, and hardware components in products (Appliances preferred) industry, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and reliability.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing protocols to verify the functionality of integrated systems, identify and rectify issues.
- Continuously assess and optimize system integration processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system integration processes, configurations, and testing results. Create user guidelines for operation and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system integration issues, developing and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that integrated systems meet the highest quality and performance standards, conducting regular quality checks and audits.
- Drive closure of DFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance stacks.
- Electrical or Electronic engineering degree.
- Typically 7–15 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 5 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and globally.
- System design & system integration experience.
- Critical systems thinker.
- Strong EE background, including EMC Theory and Practice and Electrical Stack-up capability.
- Base level:
Exceptional problem solving approach with OPEX certification. - Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional language a plus.
