Sr Accountant

Location: Benton Harbor, MI (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This fully onsite role is ideal for an accounting professional who wants to be a true business partner—not just a back-office function. You will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations while helping support growth initiatives, process improvements, and the implementation of a new ERP system.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership, build scalable processes, and grow alongside the business.

• Manage and support all core accounting functions, including:

  • Accounts Payable

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Payroll processing

• Own and execute the full month-end close process (with the opportunity to take full ownership over time)

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations

• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and management support

• Partner cross-functionally to support operational and business growth initiatives

• Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing optimization of a new ERP system

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and accounting principles

• Experience with AP, AR, and payroll processes

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Comfortable working fully onsite in Benton Harbor, MI

• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations

• Prior ownership of month-end close processes

• Experience in a growing or evolving business environment
