- Lead the operational care center by example, be a role model for all employees.
- Provide leadership and direction to the operational care organization.
- Ensure operational excellence through high-quality service delivery according to the customer promise of all OCC activities.
- Liaise with stakeholders to drive pricing strategies and business growth to maximise profitability through cost optimisation.
- Lead teams and initiatives to drive solutions and continuous improvements to manage cost-efficiency while delivering high-quality services to drive procurement and supplier management, in alignment with the governance model between gateway and OCC, where applicable.
- Closely cooperate with Customer Service teams to gain required customer knowledge and exchange feedback about each team's service execution.
- Closely work with KNGS, gateway, warehouse, customs and optimisation teams, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure technology and systems are utilised to their fullest extent, team structures and knowledge sharing allow for consistent service and continuously monitor and analyse the OCC performance to drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with respective regulatory regimes, industry and product standards, and KN standards and guidelines.
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, operations, and import-export regulations.
- 5+ years of experience with air logistics.
- 2+ years of experience with direct and virtual leadership skills.
- Knowledge of market and carrier relationships, as well as Kuehne+Nagel products, services, systems, and processes is preferred.
- Proven track record to lead, develop and manage a team.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
