Position Overview
SVMC is seeking an outpatient pediatrics physical therapist to see patients in our outpatient department on the main hospital campus (Bennington, VT). $5,000.00 sign‑on retention bonus.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is a skilled therapist who possesses advanced knowledge and skills in pediatric development and disorders, enabling them to address the unique needs of the pediatric population. The pediatric therapist may work with children who have congenital disabilities, developmental delays, or acquired conditions through illness or injury. In consultation with the referring provider, the Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing an individualized treatment plan that utilizes exercises, play, and therapeutic activities to help children reach their maximum potential, ensuring they can participate in everyday activities at home and in their community.
A weekend fair‑turn commitment in our inpatient department is required. In addition, this position has the opportunity to supervise physical therapist assistants and students.
