SummaryThe primary role of the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant is to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment as well as activities, trips and events for residents.
Responsibilities- Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled.
- Participate, organize, and implement daily social and therapeutic activities and events.
Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Director is preferred.
Must have experience running and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
Must be able to work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, is required.
