A well-established real estate-focused law practice in Benicia is expanding and adding a Real Estate Litigation Attorney to its growing team. This role blends courtroom advocacy with transactional work, offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to build deep experience across multiple areas of real estate law.

• Handling unlawful detainer matters for both residential and commercial properties
• Advising clients on rent control, affordable housing, and fair housing issues
• Supporting real estate transactional matters tied to property management and ownership
• Representing clients in court and during administrative proceedings
• Guiding clients step by step through the eviction process
• Providing legal advice through phone and email consultations
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, notices, correspondence, and settlement documents
• Conducting legal research and case analysisn
• Defending and counseling clients on fair housing claims
• Participating in occasional court appearances and client presentations
• Engaging with industry organizations to strengthen professional relationships
• The bulk of the practice involves unlawful detainer matters billed at a flat rate, so there are no billable hour requirements.

• Base salary range of $95,000 to $120,000, depending on background

• Active membership in the California Bar
• Background or strong interest in real estate law and property management
• Experience or exposure to unlawful detainer, fair housing, or housing-related matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
