Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions that align with customers’ best interests.
  • Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that deepen the customer relationship beyond personal banking.
  • Welcome and guide customers into the branch lobby, offering digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
  • Assist in client conversations about banking services, recommending alternative channels and providing personal banking and investment advice.
  • Execute customer transaction‑based needs seamlessly.
  • Review customer profiles and engage customers in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking and credit‑card needs.
  • Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑up, filing, and opening/closing activities.
  • Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
  • Probe to understand customers’ personal banking and credit‑card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations for strategic advice.
  • Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Take initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer experience.
  • Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Contribute to business results and the overall experience delivered.
  • Work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs; schedule may vary week to week.
  • Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers’ assets, maintain their privacy, and act in their best interest.
  • Keep current with the financial services marketplace, the legal and regulatory environment, and ethical requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products and trends, integrating them into customer conversations.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity potentially related to money laundering.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction.
  • Protect the Bank’s assets in compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules.
    • Analyze issues, determine next steps, and escalated as required.
    • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  • Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For Canada only:
    Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months).
  • Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  • Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles and a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
  • Passionate commitment to helping customers.

Salary: $43,100.00 - $58,300.00 per year (pro‑rated for part‑time). This range is based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.

Pay Type: Salaried. May include commission structure for the role.
