Overview:This company is a leading innovator in thermoset resin and composite technologies, serving global aerospace and various other industries through its Product Development Team.
In this role, you will lead a small team to develop cutting‑edge resin, prepreg, and adhesive products, manage projects and collaborate cross‑functionally, regularly interface with customers to address technical needs, and play a key role in both day‑to‑day team leadership and hands‑on technical work, preparing for potential future advancement within the organization.
Schedule:Monday‑Friday, Standard Working Hours, Full‑time Onsite
Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a small team within Product Development division, focusing on the formulation and testing of thermoset resin, prepreg, and adhesive technologies for aerospace and other advanced composite applications.
- Oversee end‑to‑end project management of new product development, including technical project planning, timeline execution, risk mitigation, and cross‑divisional collaboration to ensure successful, timely outcomes.
- Actively seek, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies, techniques, and materials to maintain and enhance market and technological leadership in composites.
- Provide technical guidance and support to both the internal team and customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting product challenges, and offering solutions that advance product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all laboratory and technical activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, while continuously improving safety protocols and maintaining required documentation.
- Prepare, analyze, and present high‑quality, data‑driven reports to internal and external stakeholders, supporting business cases, project status updates, and technical evaluations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, participating frequently in meetings and providing technical consultation. This includes involvement with collaborative projects, customer programs, and technical service.
- Collaborate with the sales and business development teams, supporting customer engagement efforts, expanding the company’s industry presence, and participating in the patent filing process when necessary.
- Contribute actively to the strategic direction, project pipeline, and competitive technological positioning by sharing input and collaborating with leadership and other teams.
- Foster a positive, adaptive, and communicative team environment, embodying strong emotional intelligence and promoting team development, succession planning, and effective performance management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field, advanced degree preferred
. - 8+ years of experience in product development, with proven people management and leadership skills.
- Working experience in market and technical research, project management, and technology strategy.
