Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at HC-One you will build on your existing skill set, practising in a nurse‑led environment and developing complex decision‑making and collaborative skills. You will provide person‑centred care, guide residents in life‑changing decisions, and act as a mentor and practice supervisor. You will support effective communication, uphold professional standards and NMC guidelines, and promote safeguarding and resilience in our care homes.

Job responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality nursing care and support to residents and families.

• Undertake assessments, plan and review care as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.

• Lead and mentor junior staff, students and practitioners.

• Advocate for residents, safeguard their wellbeing and ensure effective communication.

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation and uphold NMC standards.

Person specification Qualifications
  • NMC registered with a valid PIN.
  • Minimum 12 months post‑qualification experience in Health or Social Care.
  • Experience supervising students or probationers.
Experience
  • Experience in a care home or similar setting.
  • Experience in complex decision‑making and multi‑disciplinary collaboration.
Additional criteria
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and safeguarding training.
  • Confidence using digital care‑planning tools.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
