Job Title: Local Class C Driver - Millworks

Pay: Starting at $23.17 to $27.41 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Rotating Monday-Saturday 7am to 5pm, or until all loads for the day have been delivered.

Location: Bend, Oregon

At PARR, our Drivers are essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on‑time and in great condition. The ideal driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service. The Millworks Driver reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant Manager. They will interact daily with customers, Dispatchers, Receivers, and Load Builders.

• Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
• Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
• Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
• Demonstrate commitment to on‑time and in‑full deliveries
• Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of the delivered shipment after completing each delivery
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
• Perform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations
• Promptly report all accidents/incidents
• Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations
• Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during the course of work
• Find productive work to do in downtime
• Keep truck supplied, organized, and clean
• Come to work professionally attired
• Check load for accuracy
• Proactively manage job site conditions for the next delivery and communicate with others
• Always provide required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
• Seek to learn products and their application for the end users
• Learn and follow established best practices
• Learn from mistakes and accept coaching as opportunities
• Demonstrate legal and thorough knowledge of tie‑down rules and regs
• Understand weight, height, and length limits
• Ensure that all material transported on the truck has either an invoice or Material Returns Form
• Continue to participate in training as available
• Learn best practices related to efficient loading, strapping, and driving

This position will be working at a millworks facility and delivering to jobsites in all weather conditions.

• Class C License
• Must be 21 years old or over
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Acceptable driving record
• Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and State regulations and company policy
• Open and transparent communication
• Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
• Driving experience within 50‑mile radius of primary location preferred

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
• Must be able to work in an office environment
• Must be able to travel occasionally
