Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is an award-winning senior living community nested along the banks of the Deschutes River in beautiful Bend. We are proud of our well‑maintained campus and the talented Building Services team that keeps it looking its best. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Painter to join our team—someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys making a visible impact across a vibrant residential and health care community.

Hourly wage: $28.00/hr, benefit eligible plus PTO, bonuses, 401k with company match, and more

As a Painter on our Building Services team, you will play a key role in maintaining the appearance and quality of our community. This position is primarily responsible for interior and exterior painting projects across the campus, including home turns, common areas, and detailed repair work. The ideal candidate takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, works safely and efficiently in an active residential environment, and contributes to a team that supports a well‑maintained, welcoming community.

Position

Summary

Performs skilled painting and surface preparation work throughout a large residential and health care community

Primary focus on interior and exterior painting projects, including home turns, common areas, and detailed repair work

Works as part of the Building Services team to maintain a safe, attractive, and well‑maintained environment for residents, guests, and team members

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform interior and exterior painting across the community, including apartments, cottages, common areas, offices, and support spaces

Complete unit “home turns,” including patching, sanding, priming, painting, and finish touch‑ups

Perform detailed paint repair work, including trim, doors, cabinetry, railings, and high‑visibility areas

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, and masking as needed

Match paint colors and finishes and apply coatings evenly and professionally

Safely use ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment to access work areas

Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, including sprayers, rollers, brushes, and power tools

Follow all safety procedures, infection control practices, and community policies

Coordinate work to minimize disruption to residents and operations

Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store materials

Assist with other building services tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of commercial painting experience required

Experience painting in occupied buildings, residential, healthcare, hospitality, or large facilities preferred

Knowledge of proper surface preparation techniques and paint application methods

Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions

Strong attention to detail and quality of finished work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds

Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts at various heights

Ability to work in tight or confined spaces

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb for extended periods

Ability to safely operate machinery and powered equipment related to painting tasks

Ability to work around paint fumes, solvents, dust, and other materials common to painting work

Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Indoor and outdoor work across a large residential and health care campus

Work may occur around residents, visitors, and staff

Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and construction‑related environments
