SummaryAs a Resort Gardener, you will play an essential role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces at Juniper Preserve. Under the direct supervision of the Landscape Manager and Landscape Supervisor, you will perform routine manual labor to support the upkeep, enhancement, and health of our landscapes and grounds.
Pay$18-$22/hr
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- The safe and skilled operation of small battery equipment:
Hand Tools, Blowers, Rotary Mowers, and String Trimmers - Installation and maintenance of plant material.
- Ensures that at the end of the day the equipment and hand tools are thoroughly cleaned and then stored in its proper location.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and hand tools.
- Required to wear supplied safety equipment as required:
Safety Glasses, Earplugs, Back Support, etc. - Reports equipment problems or failures to the supervisor immediately.
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
- Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Landscape Manager.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- No special education required.
- Must be able to understand oral instructions.
- Must be able to comprehend topics of a conceptual nature.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of job-related instruction manuals.
