Nurse Practitioner; Primary Care

Position: Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care)
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

Salem is the capital city of the U.S. state of Oregon, and the county seat of Marion County. It is located in the center of the Willamette Valley alongside the Willamette River, which runs north through the city.

Vancouver, Washington sits on the north bank of the Columbia River across from Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Coast is less than 90 miles to the west. Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and Mt. Hood are less than two hours away!

West Linn is a charming city in Oregon, located on the banks of the Willamette and Tualatin rivers. It offers scenic views, historic landmarks, and outdoor recreation.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed independent practitioner with advanced education and national certification who provides evidence-based care for a population of patients.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention using evidence-based practice.

* Develops and implements an individualized plan to achieve optimal population health and disease management.

* Demonstrates leadership and works collaboratively with Primary Care Team and other interdisciplinary team members.

* Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.

* Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

* Initiates referrals and consults to specialty services.

* Provides education to patients and their families.

* Assesses and adjusts the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Retirement:
