Pine Springs Health is are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clinic! This role involves managing the front desk, handling phone calls, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations. This position includes PTO, health & dental insurance, along with simple IRA benefits after 90 days of full time employment and has opportunity for professional advancement over time.

Responsibilities
  • Being the first point of contact for our clinic:
    Greeting patients as they enter the clinic, Answering phone calls and documenting messages appropriately for the care team.
  • Scheduling appointments, rescheduling, handling/notifying patients of No Shows
  • Checking in patients for their appointments and ensuring that all information (billing, demographics) are collected and entered accurately into the practice management system.

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
  • Perform safe work practices to protect the health and safety of employees and patients per OSHA regulation.
  • Protect individually identifiable health information per HIPAA regulation.
  • Proper and timely documentation within patient records
  • Provide high quality customer service, escalating issues to leadership as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONSWork Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service required.
  • Previous experience with an EMR platform is required, proficiency in Epic preferred.
  • Previous experience in medical reception &/or scheduling required.
Education, certification, and licensure

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard office machines including document scanner, multi-line telephone, printer, etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly preferred.
  • Full proficiency in touch-typing without viewing the keyboard is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently using good judgment.
  • Ability to transcribe & format telephone calls efficiently
  • Proficient in MSOffice including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
