The Medical Assistant will manage daily patient flow for each physician they work with, using triage skills to gather information that supports patient health assessments and anticipates physician needs. This position does not manage other caregivers.

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient medical data in the chart.
• Assist physician with phone requests from patients and other professionals.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary/surgical procedures (excluding IV medication administration).
• Maintain equipment and instrument inventory.
• Support the organization’s vision, mission, values, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
• Provide a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
• Conduct all activities with professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Deliver customer service/patient care in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Perform additional duties of similar complexity as required.

• Required:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred:
  Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

• Required:
  
  Current MA Certification (AMT, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP, NHA, EMT, Oregon LPN, or Oregon RN) plus AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
• Preferred:
  Current AAMA certification.

• Required:
  
  Basic knowledge of ICD‑10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions, medical practice management information systems, physician office documentation standards; must maintain confidentiality and meet HIPAA requirements.
• Preferred:
  Two years of Medical Assisting experience.
