OverviewWe are looking for a Minnesota Sales Representative to plan and carry out all sales activities within assigned accounts or regions, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality service delivery. The role requires building strong relationships with Fire and EMT decision‑makers and has a preference for individuals with prior firefighting or EMS experience.
General PurposeTo plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery. Develop relationships with all Fire and EMT decision‑makers in designated territory. Dinges Fire team members pride themselves on building a ‘Help First’ relationship with departments.
Main Job Tasks,Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare sales action plans and strategies
- Schedule sales activity
- Make sales calls to new and existing customers
- Develop and present company products and services to current and potential clients
- Negotiate with clients
- Develop sales proposals
- Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
- Follow up on sales activity
- Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
- Participate in sales events and training
- Knowledge of fire service equipment and tools
- Basic computer application skills
- Knowledge of customer service principles

- All salespersons are 1099 independent contractors. Pay is comprised entirely of commissions with unlimited potential (approximately 40% of the gross profit on each sale).
- DFC offers opportunities to work full‑time or part‑time. Most salespersons are also firefighters, though not mandatory; it is highly recommended.
- Salespersons own their territory, allowing business growth with increased sales.
