Active BLS and ACLS certification
Active NRP certification
Ability to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics
Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems

Description:

Responsibilities include caring for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow.
Nurses may be the second RN in the Special Care Nursery.
Equipment utilized includes EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, and Medfusion Pumps.
Candidates are expected to float as required and may care for Med-Surg patients when necessary.
The unit will have an average census of approximately 5 couplets, 2 pediatric patients, 1 GYN patient, 2 labor patients, and 4 in the Special Care Nursery.
Support staff includes ward clerks, CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, and LPN scrub nurses.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, 1:5 for GYN/Med-Surge patients, and 1:3-4 for pediatric patients.
Orientation includes equipment and unit training on the first day, including access protocols.
Scrub color is navy blue.
Must note if the candidate has previously worked for this organization and confirm an appropriate end date before submission.
