Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - Obstetrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (OB) position requiring a MN state RN license and at least 2 years of OB/L&D experience.

Job Details

• Work in an acute hospital setting on the Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery unit,

• Care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric, newborn, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patients,

• Level III trauma center with a census averaging 5 mom/baby couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, and 4 SCN,

• Nurse-to-patient ratios include 1:3 for mom/baby, 1:5 for GYN/Med-Surg, and 1:3-4 for pediatrics,

• Unit uses Epic EMR, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call Light System, and Medfusion Pumps,

• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays required,

• Float to Med-Surg and Tele units as needed, including taking Med-Surg patient assignments,

• Equipment and unit orientation provided on first day,

Job Requirements

• Active MN RN license required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent OB/L&D experience,

• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NRP,

• Experience with postpartum and pediatric populations required,

• Epic EMR experience preferred; must have experience with other EMR systems if not Epic,

Additional Information

• Support staff includes ward clerk ), CNA (Tuesday-Thursday), Charge Nurse/Circulator without assignment, Resource Nurse, and LPN Scrub Nurse,

• Must be able to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics,

• Must badge in and out at the facility,

• Navy blue scrubs are required,

• Returning employees must have at least 6 months since previous end date,

• Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered with a pay adjustment,
