Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU assignment requiring a MN RN license, ACLS, BLS, and recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital

• Unit has 10 beds and is designated as Trauma Level III

• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2-3 in ICU, 1:3-5 if floated to Tele or ER

• 12-hour rotating day and night shifts with work every other weekend

• Willingness to float to Telemetry and Emergency/Observation departments is required

• Utilizes Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system

• Primary responsibilities include critical care, cardiac monitoring, use of vents, bipap, artlines, and responding to code blue situations

• 12 to 24 hours of orientation per unit provided, adjusted as needed

• Must badge in and out at the facility for each shift

• Scrub color requirement is navy blue

• Holiday coverage and weekend work is required

• Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have at least a 6-month gap from their last employment date to be considered

• Local candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may be accepted

Requirements

• Active MN state RN license required

• Minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience

• Certification in ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) required

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred; list any other EMR experience if applicable

• Ability to respond to code blue calls and work with vents, bipap, artlines, and cardiac monitoring
