Description
Job Summary
:
To devise, organize, and coordinate everything related to the employees within our organization and overall workplace. This includes: on-boarding, off-boarding, compliance with regulatory requirements, fringe benefit management, and statistical HR reporting for Havenwood Care Center. Assists in strategizing and implementing employee retention efforts, analyzing turnover trends, and recruiting qualified talent for appropriate departments. On-site/in-person position.
- Knowledge of human resources processes, procedures, and documentation
- Skills in database management, records management, word processing, and data entry
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and be productive despite numerous interruptions
- Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner.
- Attention to detail
- 4-year degree preferred
- Previous human resources experience preferred
- SHRM certification is a plus, but not required
Job Responsibilities
- Hire and recruit new staff, including the following responsibilities:
- Post job openings and manage job postings
- Interview applicants with department managers
- Complete applicant reference checks
- Extend offers to applicants and manage onboarding process
- Facilitate General Orientation for new staff
- Assist new and existing staff with benefit enrollment
- Complete fingerprinting process in-house for background checks
- Maintain knowledge of or learn FMLA processes and requirements
- Manage employee raises
- Process of COBRA paperwork
- Maintain data for Nursing Assistant Registry
- Process monthly Office of Inspector General checks on employees
- Assist with management of worker’s comp and employee incident reports
- Track information for OSHA reporting
- Assist with internal employee investigations, as needed
- Advise and assist department managers with employee concerns and disciplines
- Advise on and recommend process changes for the best interest of the company and employees
- Demonstrate initiative in gathering information and solving problems
Starting Wage
: $26-29/hour
Hours: 72 hours/2 week pay period, 8-4:30 pm (flexibility in how employee would like to work the 72 hours within that timeframe in coordination with other office staff and facility need, ex: come to work at 8:30 am, leave at 4 pm, take longer lunch, take 1 day off every 2 weeks, etc.).
Reports to: Administrator of Havenwood Care Center
