Department Details

This role will be working opposite a counterpart for scheduling within the Bemidji Market. The position is a 32 hour a week role with the opportunity to work up to 36 hours a week.

Schedule is as follows:

Varying Monday - Friday

Two 12 hour shifts of 6am-6pm opposite of your counterpart

One eight hour shift of 8am-5pmittoqwith your counterpart

No weekends, No Nights, No holidays

Performs routine healthcare information system and application support. Handles advanced application support issues in addition to standard application support. Provides mentoring to application support staff and promotes team concept. Possesses and maintains a broad knowledge of healthcare information systems and applications. Utilizes analytic skills and experiences to investigate and resolve or raise support issues. Conducts, supervises, and monitors training sessions. Acts as a liaison to assigned leaders and departments as well as providers in order to facilitate optimal use of applications.

Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for application workflow improvements. Establishes and documents standard operating procedures. Mentors team members. Monitors the creation and maintenance of training documentation or online training courses. Performs installation, conversion, and maintenance of healthcare information system and applications.

Works with project leaders using project management principles to achieve specific outcomes. Reports up-to-date project status to leadership regularly. Resolves technical and functional application issues using analytical skills. Creates and analyzes reports created using various reporting mechanisms. Skillful and flexible at managing change. Project management, critical thinking, problem solving and strong communication skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong presentation techniques, are required.

Experienced with Microsoft Office software suite. Willing to travel to off‑site facilities and training/certification sessions. Advanced knowledge of specific application components. On‑call, after normal business hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Five years of relevant experience in a large healthcare facility preferred.

Clinical licensure is not required, however within the laboratory departments:
Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)’avance.
