Compensation- Local Rate: $50-$55/hr
- Traveler Rate: $48-$52/hr
- Per Diem (Travelers): $140/day
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Hours: 50 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | Occasional Saturdays
- Shift: Day Shift
This position provides full-time safety oversight for a large-scale solar field construction project. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, renewable energy safety protocols, and client‑specific requirements. Work will involve close coordination with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and site leadership to support safe installation of solar panels, racking systems, electrical components, and associated infrastructure.
Qualifications- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required
- Minimum 5 Years of solar‑related safety experience
- Proven experience managing safety on utility‑scale renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of construction and electrical safety practices
- Personal laptop/tablet for safety documentation and reporting
- Ability to work in outdoor, all-weather field conditions
- Willingness to travel and remain on‑site for project duration (if applicable)
- Oversee site safety for solar field construction activities
- Enforce OSHA, client, and site‑specific safety programs
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and field observations
- Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate with project management and subcontractors on hazard controls
- Strong working knowledge of renewable energy and construction safety standards
- Experience with electrical safety, fall protection, and heavy equipment operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in remote or large project environments
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
Expertise in OSHA 1926 and applicable renewable energy safety standards, with specific focus on utility‑scale solar installation risks, electrical hazards, working at heights, equipment operations, and environmental exposure controls.
