Mewinzha Ondaadiziike Wiigaming is welcoming interest in an ongoing administrative job pool for individuals who feel called to support Anishinaabe-led, community-centered work
—now and in the seasons ahead.
Our mission is to deliver holistic, Anishinaabe-led care that supports families and community members in living mino-bimaadiziwin—a good life. This work is made possible through strong administrative care, thoughtful grant stewardship, clear communications, and solid financial systems.
?? How we work (and how we hire)At Mewinzha, we practice a person- and gift-centered approach
. We believe administrative, financial, communications, and grant work are deeply relational practices that help hold the integrity and sustainability of our mission.
Rather than hiring into rigid, pre-defined job boxes, we create roles collaboratively with the right people
. We value the unique gifts, lived experiences, capacities, and ways of working each person brings, and we shape positions that support alignment, growth, and long-term sustainability—both staff and the organization.
Mewinzha uses an applicant pool because roles are created collaboratively, rather than defined in advance. This approach allows us to thoughtfully align a person’s gifts, interests, and availability with real organizational needs as they emerge—supporting clarity, care, and long-term fit.
?? Who we’re hoping to hear fromWe welcome interest from individuals with strengths, interests, and gifts in:
- Administrative & office support
- Operations and internal coordination
- Grant relations & grant writing (applications, reporting, funder communication, tracking)
- Communications (storytelling, content drafting, newsletters, social media, materials)
- Financial bookkeeping & administrative finance support (invoicing, expense tracking, reconciliations, systems support)
- Scheduling, documentation, and cross-team support
Both part-time and full-time opportunities may emerge. Remote roles may be considered, with an expectation of quarterly travel to Bemidji, Minnesota for in-person connection, relationship-building, and team gatherings.
Prior experience in nonprofit, community-centered, healthcare, grants, communications, or bookkeeping work is helpful. We value care, organization, reliability, curiosity, and commitment to community just as much as formal credentials.
?? Pay & BenefitsWe offer a robust pay and benefits structure, grounded in our values of wellness, sustainability, and care for the whole person.
?? Applicant Pool FAQWhy isn’t this a specific job posting?
Because our roles are not one-size-fits-all. We shape positions through relationship and conversation, rather than hiring into rigid job descriptions.
What happens after I apply?
We review applications on an ongoing basis. When a role, project, or funding opportunity aligns with your skills and availability, we’ll reach out to explore fit, scope, and timing together.
Does joining the applicant pool guarantee a position?
No. Being part of the applicant pool allows us to stay in relationship as opportunities arise, but it does not guarantee employment.
What if my availability or capacity changes?
That’s okay. We recognize that people’s seasons of life shift, and we are open to revisiting alignment over time.
?? How to join the job poolPlease submit a resume and a brief statement of interest through the link provided. Being part of the job pool does not guarantee a position—but it allows us to stay in relationship as opportunities arise. Please share with your networks.
